Willard Community Center is excited to host a Snowflake Crafting Party on Wednesday, January 21, from 11:00 AM–12:00 PM, bringing together our Early Explorers preschool and pre-k students for a special intergenerational winter activity.

During this cozy mid-morning gathering, children will create and decorate their own snowflakes while receiving helping hands, encouragement, and conversation from visiting seniors. Friends from Lexington Assisted Living, as well as our adult program participants, will join our classrooms, offering a meaningful opportunity for connection across generations as participants work side by side on a simple, creative project.

Intergenerational activities like this are a core part of Willard’s mission. By creating shared experiences between young children and older adults, we foster friendship, reduce social isolation, and strengthen our sense of community, one relationship at a time.

To wrap up the hour, participants will enjoy hot chocolate with toppings, adding a warm and festive touch to this winter gathering. We look forward to another joyful morning filled with creativity, conversation, and smiles.
