Willard Community Center Receives $45,000 Grant to Support Infant & Toddler Expansion

Willard Community Center is proud to announce that we have received a $45,000 grant from the Lincoln/Lancaster County Joint Budget Committee Early Childcare Assistance Fund in support of our Early Explorers Infant & Toddler expansion.

This significant investment comes at a critical time for our community. Access to high-quality infant and toddler care remains one of the greatest challenges facing working families in Lincoln. With this funding, Willard will expand its Early Explorers program to serve infants and toddlers, increasing the availability of safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care for our youngest learners.

The expansion will allow us to prepare classroom space, purchase age-appropriate materials and equipment, and ensure our program meets licensing and quality standards as we grow. As a Step 4-rated program, we remain committed to providing high-quality early childhood education that supports children’s development and gives families confidence and peace of mind.

For generations, Willard has been a place where children grow, families connect, and community thrives. This expansion represents the next chapter in that story, meeting families where they are and supporting them from the very beginning.
