Willard Celebrates Arbor Day
The kids started the gorgeous day learning about the history of Arbor Day and how it began right here in Nebraska. The kids were then asked to make posters of why trees are so important and why it is important to continue to plant trees.
Here are some of their thoughts:
• “They are good for the environment.”
• “So dogs can have sticks to play with.”
• “They make our community beautiful.”
• “To help us breath.”
• “To change seasons.”
• “Shade for people to cool off and relax.”
• “To give animals homes.”
