Preschool Staff Job Summary

Child care staff ensure the safety of the children enrolled in Willard's preschool program.  Child Care Staff must play with and supervise children, interact with other Willard staff members, assist the preschool teacher in any way necessary, rub kids' backs during nap time, talk with parents and work cooperatively with school personnel to guarantee the smooth operation of the licensed program.  

Willard Community Center is located at 1245 S. Folsom, we offer a mix of days and hours so that you can work around a college school schedule. The hours are 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Additional hours are available on LPS non-school days and summer days.

Pre-K Staff Job Summary

Willard Community Center Pre-K Program is located at 1030 West 'Q' Street, we offer a mix of days and hours so that you can work around a college school schedule. The hours are 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Additional hours are available on LPS non-school days and summer days.

Roper Staff Job Summary
Child care staff ensure the safety of the children enrolled in Roper's Before and After School.  Child Care Staff must play with and supervise children, interact with other Willard staff members, talk with parents and work cooperatively with school personnel to guarantee the smooth operation of the licensed program.  

 Roper Elementary is located at 2323 Coddington Avenue, we offer a mix of days and hours so that you can work around a college school schedule. The hours are 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Additional hours are available on LPS non-school days and summer days.

Lakeview Staff Job Summary
Child care staff ensure the safety of the children enrolled in Lakeview's before and after school care.  Child Care Staff must play with and supervise children, interact with other Willard staff members, implement planned activities, talk with parents and work cooperatively with school personnel to guarantee the smooth operation of the licensed program.  

Lakeview Elementary is located at 300 Capitol Beach Boulevard, we offer a mix of days and hours so that you can work around a college school schedule. The hours are 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Additional hours are available on LPS non-school days and summer days.

Teen Staff Job Summary
Teen staff will supervise and direct the licensed program participants, implement all activities, and be available for daily contact with parents.  Teen Staff will model appropriate behavior in social interaction and disciplining.  Teen staff will be responsible for providing homework help at the middle school and high school levels.  Park Middle School students are transported by Willard Staff to and from school.  The licensed program is held at the Willard Community Center located at 1245 S. Folsom.  

Employment Requirements
Willard Community Center currently has forty one child care and teen staff that work in our Preschool and Before and After School Programs.  Willard hires staff as needed to meet the child care licensing ratios and to give children a well supervised and fun environment.

 We expect our staff to have prior experience in working with children. Staff must be at least 19 years of age.  Staff will be required to pass Central Registry checks through the Department of Health and Human Services, complete a Criminal History Check and pass the State Patrol sex offender register check.  Staff must hold a valid drivers license.  Staff must be willing to complete 45 hours of in-service training annually as well as be certified in CPR and First Aid.
