United Way's Day of Action Brings Fiserv Employees to Read to Children

The Willard Community Center Summer Child Care Program wants to say thank you to the eleven Fiserv volunteers that came out to Roper Elementary School to read to the 2nd and 3rd grade children on United Way's Day of Action, June 21st.  It was a very hot summer day so having the volunteers come and spend an hour reading to the kids in a cool and quite atmosphere was wonderful. The volunteers and the children were able to be in small groups to read and listen to books that had been provided by the United Way book drive.  The children enjoyed the reading time and everyone got to take a book home at the end of the day.  This activity was a valuable experience for the children.  It helped them to maintain their reading skills and also showed them that people care about the education of the children in their community.

Thank you again to United Way and Fiserv.  You truly are making a positive impact on the lives of the children in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Fiserv volunteers included: Brad Biesheuvel, Mollie Lovell, Tanya Harry, Tiffany Westerholt, Deb Young, Cynthia Ritter, Elizabeth Rude, Annette Coe, Jared Thomas, Brette Nichols, and Nick Hightree.
